Free Spirit Farm Getaway

June 19- 21, 2009

126 Trouble Creek Lane

Wirtz, VA 24184

Lots of shady camping, horses to ride, fire pit, & water  Toilet facilities at both my house and my sister-in-law’s house.  I have a generator if you need electricity.

Optionally, you can sleep in the barn.  Plenty of parking for RV’s.

We can launch the boats at Union Hall on Smith Mountain Lake

Directions:

Head west on US 360 to VA 307 just west of Jetersville.

Bear right onto VA 307 for 9.4 miles

Right onto US 460 for 78.2 miles

Left onto VA 122 for 20.5 miles

Left onto Scruggs Rd. for .8 miles

Right onto VA 834/ Brooks Mill Rd. for 2.9 miles

Left onto VA 670/ Burnt Chimney Rd. for 1.1 miles

Look for a bunch of heavy earth moving equipment on the left.

Wickline Lane is the gravel drive just past Shively excavating.

He has his equipment in his front yard.

Left onto Wickline Lane for .6 miles.

Right onto Trouble Creek Lane for 10 feet.

You will be actually staying at 576 Wickline which is the piece of my property that I call the Annex.  You will see a red shed.

Keep the shed on your right and drive onto the grass until you find a good spot to make a campsite.

You will see the fire pit and another small building.

The dogs won’t bite unless you aggravate them.

I’ll be home about 7 p.m.
